Lay Advisory Group
We have a Lay Advisory Group who meet with the research team every three months. We think it is very important that the care and support that health and social services provide is actually what patients and carers themselves feel they need, and that it is provided in a way that they find acceptable and useful. Working with a discussion group made up of patients and carers will help to make sure that the study focuses on issues that are important to patients and carers. The meetings are friendly and informal. Members will not be taking part in the research, but working with the research team to understand the findings.
