3rd International Public Health and Palliative Care Conference 2013
The International Public Health and Palliative Conference has been growing in its number of participants since the first conference was held in 2009 in Kerala, India. Up to 250 delegates will gather together for the 3rd International Public Health and Palliative Conference to be held in Limerick, Ireland between 25-27 April, 2013.

A new Marie Curie advert journeys through the span of life from baby to death. The Guardian says "This Marie Curie advert may herald an age of death acceptance. We need to adopt a collective, unhysterical responsibility for how death happens in the detail".

An excellent half-day conference, "Multimorbidities and the last phase of life", was held Thursday 21st February 2013 at Chancellor's Building, University of Edinburgh.
Speakers included Sir Harry Burns (Chief Medical Officer for Scotland), Professor Scott Murray (St Columba's Hospice Chair of Primary Palliative Care, Edinburgh), Elizabeth Ireland (Scottish Government Clinical Lead for Palliative Care), Richard Smith (former editor of BMJ), Bruce Guthrie (Professor of Primary Care Medicine Dundee) and Alex Jadad (Canada Research Chair in ehealth Innovation).
