Professional leadership in General Practice & Public Health
The former University Departments of Public Health and General Practice have been subsumed within CPHS. However this does not end the historical role that the University of Edinburgh has played in the origins and development of these academic disciplines.
Prestigious chairs were created for the erstwhile departments, and these are now located within CPHS. The current holders of these chairs will continue to give oversight and leadership for their professional disciplines.
